Pantry Moths in Essex Kitchens: How to Find Them and Clear Them
If you keep noticing small grey-brown moths drifting out of a cupboard whenever you open it, or finding silky webbing inside a bag of flour, rice or pet food — you've got pantry moths. In Essex kitchens it's almost always Indian meal moth (Plodia interpunctella), the single most common stored-product pest we deal with.
The good news: they don't bite, don't damage the building, and there's no pesticide spraying needed. The bad news: ninety percent of DIY attempts fail because people only treat what they can see, and the real infestation is somewhere they haven't looked yet.
